Have a reoccurring Experiential Learning Opportunity?
Once you have gained approval, you may communicate all the details of the ELO to your colleagues and students. You also need to email or contact all parents about the learning opportunity.
Before each off-campus or overnight opportunity, you must gain permission from all parents/guardians.
Before you email any parents, please have the Head of School view and edit your communication(s) for final approval.
Step 3: First Aid Kits, iPads and Medical Issues
(Step 3 is only needed for off-campus or overnight Experiential Learning Opportunities)
Before you depart for off-campus or overnight Experiential Learning Opportunities, please make sure you are aware of any student who requires special attention or modification.
If going off-campus, please pick up First Aid kits from the Nurses' office. Again, please make sure you are aware of any students with health issues before any experience. Activities and learning opportunities may need to be adapted or alternative activities provided in order to meet all students' needs.
Finally, make sure that all student information is on your iPad before you leave campus. iPads have emergency contact information, student medical information, student/staff passport information, procedures and itineraries for easy reference.
If you are in an emergency situation, after calling 112, please use the iPad to find emergency contact details and the student's medical insurance information. You will also have parent contact information on your iPad.
