Authors in Residence: The Two Steves
British authors Steve Barlow and Steve Skidmore, better known as "The Two Steves," offer advice to ISB elementary school students about creative writing. Students of various grades are often asked by teachers to "write a story" without being given the proper tools to creative simple yet effective narratives. Why is the "magic three" important? How can foreshadowing grip readers? What makes a compelling character? The Two Steves taught Grade 5 students all this and more during their time as ISB authors in residence. |
