Philosophy:We engage in partnerships that are dynamic, collaborative relationships with a mutual responsibility for building impact-focused relationships. These partnerships integrate and intersect with coursework to connect our students and teachers to learning experiences and opportunities that initiate, extend, or enhance learning. Together with our partners, we create experiences for our students to become lifelong contributors in our local and global community.

ExpertsCommitment to bringing visiting experts on-campus or sending our students off-campus to work with experts on projects or learning tasks. We carefully select these specialists in order to create breadth and depth to student learning.

Service LearningThrough service learning, students practice interpersonal and intrapersonal skills by tackling real-life problems in their community.
We commit to developing the dual nature of the relationship, which honors the fact that each member of the community has as much to learn as it has to give. |
Work-based LearningWork-based learning provides our students with the opportunity to use their knowledge and skills in different career fields of passion and interest. This can be in the form of job shadowing, visits to work sites, volunteer internships, summer camps, summer jobs or working on projects for a partner company.

Place-based LearningStudents and faculty go to our partnering place-based learning sites in order to engage in learning. Our students go to these sites in order to accomplish tasks and conduct research which cannot be fully realized by staying in the classroom.
